As usual, the 1224 Squadron Annual Dinner proceeded without a hitch, expertly engineered by Mr Wood, Adult Warrant Officer. It was larger than ever, with the band playing two stints through the evening. Group Captain Bill Gambold and Wing Commander Roger Moss were our visitors this year.

There were of course various trophies, and awards to give out, with the exam certificates being presented by Wing Commander Moss, and the more special trophies and squadron awards being presented by Group Captain Gambold.

It was an especially sad year for some, as it saw the departure of our long serving careers officer, Corporal Dave Procter.
